Nguyễn Hồng Giang
The Journey into Art
He first explored oil painting, focusing on human life, and in 2015 presented a work at the National Fine Arts Exhibition. In 2016, he turned to lacquer, creating a celebrated series of Hanoi streets and their elegant residents. Over time, his depictions evolved from rustic simplicity to refined detail and harmony in color.
With lacquer, Giang also found inspiration in floral themes, especially the lotus. His works are sought after by collectors, often requiring a wait of 1–3 months for completion. Each painting is meticulously crafted—two weeks alone may be devoted just to developing the idea and sketch.
Nguyen Art Gallery has proudly represented Giang for many years, connecting his dedicated artistry with collectors worldwide. As Auguste Rodin once said, “The artist must create a spark before he can light a fire.” For Nguyen Hong Giang, that spark has grown into a flame of passion that defines his life’s work.
