Trieu Khac Tien (Trieu Khanh Tien) inherited his artistic sensibility from his father, Triệu Khắc Lễ, a distinguished teacher and Meritorious Artist who was the former principal of the Central Pedagogical College of Arts. From a young age, Triệu Khắc Tiến was exposed to painting and won many children’s painting awards. He is currently the only doctor specializing in lacquer art in Vietnam. He aims to standardize traditional lacquer techniques to increase durability and expand material diversity. Additionally, he represents Vietnam at most international lacquer art conferences He is now the Deputy Dean of the Painting Department at Vietnam University of Fine Arts.
