The Journey into Art

In 2018, Nguyen Tuan Anh started creating his own lacquer paintings and has been active as a freelance artist ever since.

Nguyen Tuan Anh is highly regarded for his mastery of traditional Vietnamese lacquer painting, infusing classic techniques with a vibrant, modern warmth. His work predominantly focuses on idyllic rural landscapes, historical landmarks, and the nostalgic charm of ancient streets, as beautifully captured in pieces like “Du Xuan Van Mieu” and “Hoi Huong”. Anh’s distinctive style relies on a brilliant interplay of traditional cinnabar red and shimmering gold leaf, meticulously layered and polished to create profound spatial depth. Through his refined technique, he captures the fluid essence of nature and cultural heritage, offering viewers a mesmerizing visual experience that bridges historical reverence with contemporary vitality.

Exhibition & Award

Created numerous mosaic glass artworks and has been actively involved in interior construction and finishing projects featuring glass art pieces.

2018 Held a painting exhibition themed around Trịnh Công Sơn on the occasion of the opening of Trịnh Công Sơn Walking Street in Tây Hồ, Hanoi.

2019 Participated in the group exhibition “Spring” with the theme “Colors of Spring” at the Exhibition House, 16 Ngô Quyền, Hanoi.

2021 Participated in the group exhibition “Spring” featuring the theme “National Flowers of ASEAN Countries” at Ho Guom Art Center, Hanoi.

2024 Participated in the Hanoi Fine Arts Association Exhibition celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2024) at the Hanoi Museum.

2025 Participated in the Hanoi Fine Arts Association Exhibition celebrating the Liberation of the Capital and the 80th anniversary of National Reunification at Hoa Lu Art Exhibition Center, Hanoi.

Participated in the painting competition and exhibition themed “40 Years of Overcoming Challenges Journey of Deo Ca Group” in Lạng Sơn and Hanoi.
