La Ba Quan (born in 1976 in Nam Dinh) is a prominent Vietnamese contemporary painter known for his Expressionist style, focusing on conveying emotional depth and the inner world of the human condition.
Now living and working in Hanoi, La Ba Quan is recognized for his expressive portraits characterized by thick layers of paint, bold brushstrokes, and subtle yet intentional distortions. His works reflect everyday stories and profound human emotions, and have been exhibited in various exhibitions across Vietnam, Europe, China, and Israel.
