From the organizer:

For the first time “En plein air” landscapes of America by a Vietnamese artist-on-a-bicycle will be exhibited in the ancient downtown of Hanoi.

Sixty-seven oil paintings by Trinh Lu, created between July and December of 2014 with his minimalist studio-on-a-bicycle and capturing the landscapes of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will be on display in a private hall at 31-33 Hang Dong Street which, to date, has been maintained as an auditorium exclusively for international Buddhist venerables and local congregations.

These paintings will be accompanied by the artist’s own stories of their creation told in a 170-page book titled “Painting en plein air– 2014 Diary” and just published by Phuong Nam Book and the Viet Nam Writers’ Association Publishing House.
