 "Menu" Exhibition "Menu" Exhibition Not only does the word "Menu" itself attract everyone's curiosity but it also is the name of the new art exhibition of two very young artists: Nguyen Van Ho and Nguyen Anh Tuan, which is on at Nguyen Art Gallery - a brand new contemporary art gallery. Each artist with 15 oil paintings in different scales will lead the viewers to a journey of happiness and misery. In contrary to Ho's paintings on the variety of human's emotions and miseries, Tuan's artworks are more focused on the simplicity of happiness through a series of paintings on "beautiful legs". Nguyen Art Gallery is one of the very few galleries in Hanoi has paid more attention to Vietnamese contemporary art especially young artists. Triển lãm "Menu"
Từ "Menu" không chỉ khiến cho mọi người tò mò mà nó còn là tên của một triển lãm nghệ thuật mới của 2 nghệ sĩ trẻ tuổi: Nguyễn Văn Hổ và Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, sẽ được trưng bày tại phòng tranh Nguyên - một phòng tranh về nghệ thuật đương đại. Mỗi nghệ sĩ với 15 bức tranh sơn dầu các kích cỡ khác nhau sẽ đưa người xem tới một cuộc hành trình tìm tới hạnh phúc và đau khổ. Đối lập với những bức tranh về sự đa dạng trong cảm xúc và nỗi đau trong con người của Hổ, những tác phẩm của Tuấn lại quan tâm tới sự giản dị của hạnh phúc qua hàng loạt những bức tranh về "những đôi chân xinh đẹp". Phòng tranh Nguyên là một trong rất ít phòng tranh tại Hà Nội chú ý nhiều hơn tới nghệ thuật đương đại Việt Nam đặc biệt là các hoạ sĩ trẻ. | Artist's Statement |
Being an artist, I'm really interested in the colors and the composition and by these hands I have carried out all my thoughts, ideas and passions.
I always keep in mind that I need to paint what is real for me, I try to express in my paintings what I think, good or bad, it doesn't really matter. The important thing is to satisfy and achieve my own dreams.
Because perhaps today might be different. |

 "Menu" Exhibition
Nguyen Art Gallery welcomes you to the opening of “Nude”exhibition by four very young and vibrant artists: Trinh Minh Tien, Dang Vu Ha, Le Nguyen Manh and Nguyen Khac Chinh at 4 pm on December 15th.
Having either just graduated from college or still at school, all of them is in their own journey of struggling and figuring their way out into the art world. This has created various topics in all of their artworks like concerns about everyday life, love, sexuality, art and most of all their self-identity. Each artist with his own ideas and unique ways of portraying human body would bring you to the journey of discovering yourself and discovering the world around you.
Art after all is messages of one being trying to communicate to another. Nguyen Art Gallery’s glad to have made that connection come a reality.
